Charles has extensive experience in operational management and leadership, and was in charge of Canada's largest nuclear power plant before  starting Cherrystone Management Inc, in 2000. Cherrystone specialises in the areas of safety culture, leadership and strategic thinking with clients in the nuclear sector as well as mining and aviation. He has contributed substantially to the work of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in their programs for safety management and safety culture, nuclear security culture and leadership.

Charles has delivered services in thirteen countries, and he has a lifelong interest in history and literature.
